I have been playing some kind of sport since I was six. Specifically, my love for basketball began at my local YMCA when I was six. Not so shortly after, I began playing football with my friends during recess and liked both sports, but always loved basketball. As I got older, basketball stuck with me and I continue to play it to this day. While I do enjoy playing basketball, it’s not always easy, balancing academics and athletics is a mentally tolling task. By creating this organization, we hope to help student-athletes be the best version of themselves.

I started playing golf when I was 6 years old. Golf can take a great toll on your mental health and is an incredibly mentally challenging  sport. However, as I got older I now try to be grateful and stay mindful throughout the round to ensure success in my game. This helps me deal with the ups and downs of playing golf and take the pressure off of my mind. I understand how mental health can affect student athletes, not just balancing the work of school and staying on top of your practices, I understand those who struggle balancing social life and trying to fit into society. I strive to help students understand their own heads and how to improve their mental health.

I’ve been playing sports for as long as I can remember. I started playing organized basketball, football, soccer, and baseball in kindergarten and have tried many sports but I now settled on two. My love for sports has continued since from a young age, and I continue to play football and basketball.
